Perfect Points and Curves with the new Easy Pieced Appliqué™

Sewing Machines Required – Three Hour Class

Create perfect results by combining simple pieced foundation blocks with layered appliqués that make it possible to sew perfect points and curves by eliminating them! Learn quick piecing techniques that make it possible to make perfect four-patches, nine-patches, and pinwheels. In this freezer-paper method, straight sides and gentle curves can be turned by even a beginner.

In this three hour class, we will eliminate sewing odd angles and matching blind seams. Learn how to piece perfect four-patches – with perfect centers. Make a Hummingbird block by cutting appliqués from one four-patch – and placing and appliquéing them on another.

Learn to piece and trim perfect half-square triangles and then sew them together into a pinwheel – with a perfectly matched center. Then learn how to chain squares when this pinwheel is sewn into the center of a Sarah’s Choice block. By using Pieced Appliqué techniques, this foundation block will be turned into a star.

Piece two blocks on point, cut an appliqué from one – and place and appliqué it on the other. The curves of the Boston Uncommons block are appliquéd. Learn how to fussy cut and turn inside curves.
